Meet the team

At Dore & Totley Veterinary we are committed to helping pet owners understand how better pet care can extend the lives of our furry companions and also save money.  Our small, friendly team of experienced staff are always happy to provide help and advice.

Veterinary surgeons

 James Farrell

James opened Dore & Totley Veterinary practice in March of this year. Since qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 1998, he has gained a wealth of experience working in both charity and private veterinary practices. Caring for and fixing a large number of dogs and cats during this time enabled him to attain a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Postgraduate Qualification Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2007, representing achievement at a certain level above and beyond a standard veterinary qualification.

Consequently, James' particular interests do lie with putting animals back together again after unfortunate accidents or in dealing with large and complex cancer cases, but he is also at home in the consulting room and loves to meet the family pet whatever the problem.

At home he has four dogs of his own, three cats, four young hens to supply the eggs for the morning and two lovely guinea pigs that his two young sons absolutely adore.

Wendy Inman

"Hi I'm Wendy, and I am one of the vets here at Dore & Totley. I qualified in 2011 from Nottingham University Veterinary School, and joined the Dore and Totley team last August. At home, I am 3 cats, Ralphie, Pheobe and Minnie and in my spare time I enjoy eating out, going to the gym and socialising with friends."

Vicky Needham RVN

"Hi my name is Vicky I am owned by my American bulldog Dot and by my naughty torti cat molly! I am a registered veterinary nurse. I enjoy all aspects of my job, caring for patients, meeting people and helping to improve pet care by keeping myself and clients up to date with the most current information. When I am not at work I enjoy long walks with my partner and Dot and spending time with my family and friends."
